Mike Church was once a deputy head teacher but he’s now a very experienced children’s writer, who has written over 80 books. His picture book ‘The Elephant Who Forgot’ (with illustrations by Huw Aaron) has sold over 20,000 copies and has been mentioned in a Senedd debate. He was a CBBC Awesome Author in 2016.

His workshop will offer children a way in to writing, with numerous tips and starting points. Prepare to be provoked, entertained and challenged as children become engaged in characters, plot twists and story right angles. It is Mike’s hope that they will emerge as more confident readers and writers.

Please note: adults and children both require tickets, but children’s tickets are free.
