Y Llynfi library re-opens for appointments: the new home of our local & family history collection

We’ve relocated our local and family history resources into the Gallery space of Maesteg Sports Centre. You may remember this beautiful space if you’ve ever accessed our periodicals or visited to do some quiet research.

It’s an amazing gallery, based in the old Engine House of the Llynfi Iron Works. Founded in 1837, it closed in 1899 and was later redeveloped in 1983 when it became Maesteg Sports Centre.

Just look at that ceiling! We think it’s beautiful and hope you love it too if you visit us.

We are open for appointments on Wednesdays and Fridays. Contact us for more information and to arrange a booking on 01656 754859 or yllynfi.library@awen-wales.com
