Zinio provides a quick and easy way for library customers to read digital copies of their favourite magazines. Using a PC, Mac or mobile device, reading fans will be able to access Bridgend Libraries’ selected digital magazines.

 Local Historical Photographs Did you know that you can access over 3,500 photographs via the library website? The photos tell the story of the Borough through the ages and include images of landscapes, local events, churches, chapels and pubs. Do you or your relatives remember any of our featured photographs? Can you fill in some missing details and update our records? Simply use the review function and put some names to faces, or dates to events to help us fill in the missing pieces of the jigsaw.
 Birth, Marriages and Death Indexes to births, marriages and deaths in the Glamorgan Gazette. Bridgend’s local newspaper is an invaluable source for family historians as it has provided details of births, marriages and deaths in the local area since 1866. The library service is undertaking a project to make this information available to researchers via our website and we are now releasing the first fruits of our labours. To see these click here.
 Join The Library There is NO CHARGE for using the library, borrowing books, or using computer facilities. It’s easy to join – just fill in the online form and you can enjoy the benefits of membership straight away. You’ll be able to reserve books via our online catalogue and access free-of-charge a range of useful databases. You can then pick up your new library card at your local library – just bring along one form of identification (such as a driving licence, passport, rent book or utility bill). If you are under 16 you will need the signature of a parent or carer.

Wales Remembers This site provides news, events and signposting information for the commemoration of the centenary in Wales
 Newsplan Cymru This site provides information about the work of Newsplan Cymru and access to a database of Welsh newspapers available in libraries either in paper form or on microfilm.
NLW The National Library of Wales is one of the great libraries of the world. The website includes a catalogue to the NLW’s collections and digital images of the library’s treasures.
 Whichbook gives readers an enjoyable and intuitive way to find books to match their mood. Instead of looking for a crime novel, you can look for a book that is unpredictable, very romantic and a little bit sad.
