Coronavirus Firebreak Update

In line with Welsh Government’s coronavirus firebreak measures announced yesterday, all libraries across the county borough of Bridgend will be closed from 6pm on Friday 23rd October and will reopen on Monday 9th November. Our Books on Wheels home delivery service will also be temporarily suspended for this duration, and any customers affected will be contacted.

While our doors may be closed for the time being, don’t forget that library members have free access to thousands of e-books, audiobooks, digital magazines and other online resources via our website www.awen-libraries.com. If you are not already a member, there’s never been a better time to join – just complete the online form.

Remember to follow our social media platforms (Facebook – @awenlibraries and Twitter – @awenlibs) where you will find many of our popular library activities, including story times, quizzes, and art and craft activities, continue online. If you have a question, comment or suggestion, you can send us a message via our Facebook page or email libraries@awen-wales.com

If you need to renew or return an overdue book, please keep hold of the item until your local library reopens. There are no fines for late returns at any of our libraries.

We look forward to welcoming you back as soon as we can and thank you for your continued support.
