Join the Winter Reading Challenge for a sled-load of winter fun!

Once again, Awen Libraries will be encouraging children to keep reading through the cold winter holidays, by taking part in the Winter Reading Challenge!

With colourful characters including Snow Trolls and spaghetti-eating Yetis, there’s plenty of fun to be had with the theme Pugs of the Frozen North.

To take part, children must simply read three books of their choice over the winter period between 30th November and 13th January. Along the way, there will be a whole host of fun activities to also take part in within Awen Library branches, from themed story time and craft sessions to treasure hunts.

Each child that completes the challenge will receive a colourful Winter Reading Challenge certificate and prizes.

Whether children choose to read Philip Reeve and Sarah McIntyre’s action-packed novel, Pugs of the Frozen North as one of their choices, or something else from our varied choice of books, we can’t wait for children to join in the fun!

The Winter Reading Challenge will launch on Saturday 30th November across all our branches located within Bridgend County Borough, and we can’t wait!
